[BRLTTY] Need help installing 3.7.1 on a 64 bit system

Hello all,

I urgently need help installing the latest version of Brltty on this laptop. 

I have SuSE 9.3 installed and when I build brltty from source it makes the display go crazy.  It refreshes every cell about five or six times a second! its impossible to read. even when its just sitting at a prompt the display is working away sending out hundreds of simbols a second.  

I'm using a pac mate 40 cell display on SuSE 9.3 64 bit.

The laptop I'm using is an Acer Ferrari  4005.

Any help would really be appreciated. I need to get this system working as soon as possible.
