[BRLTTY] Only question mark characters when running brlttyinppc ubuntu and ppc debian etch

Now that I know I have to hit enter once before keying in the boot 
parameters, I tried the netinst cd for debian testing--Lenny. This says it's 
debian 3.9 rev unknown. It exhibits the same problem so this isn't a problem 
that was fixed in a later version of brltty.
