Unfortunately, the vendor/product strings were not specially
set for Handy Tech.  They look like a standard serial
adaptor.  My ME88 says "FTDI" as Vendor string and
"USB->Serial" as product string.  That is not going to
help.

I am afraid we can't, without opening the device and looking at the
reset answer.
