[BRLTTY] Detecting Display Disconnect via BRLAPI

Hi All:
I saw a message to this list indicating that detecting EOF on the fd used
for the BRLAPI connection would allow a client to be notified when a display
is disconnected, but I can't get this to work. Am I missing something? Is
there a correct way to determine when, for example, a USB display is
disconnected or a Bluetooth display goes out of range? This is needed, for
example, so that if a user has speech turned off while using Braille, that
we can turn speech back on if the Braille display goes away.
I could, of course, launch brltty in non-daemon mode and watch debug output,
but I'd rather not do something so hacky... <smile>
