[BRLTTY] How to enter the preference menu on Alva Satellite 584?

Hi,
I use the Alva Satellite 584, now I want to change my cursor in the
preference menu, but I'm not able to enter the menu in any way.
In the compilation I did configure --enable-preference-menu, but it dont
seem to work.

Also, is there any possibility to show the actual text-window in the
third status cell??
It's now very confusing, you just dont know where you are.
With the Alt-FN I'm hopping from window to window, that's part of the fun
of Linux.
Any help????
