[BRLTTY] xbrlapi on Ubuntu 8.04

Hello,
the same here with Ubuntu, Orca and Gnome-terminal.
Also have tried start the display with device specification as described in
Orca help.
There is something like /dev/ttyUSB0
Anyway such a device is not in my /dev I think.
After I switched to a standard command line using ALT+CTRL+Fn, there are
some characters on display I am not able to identify because I am not very
strong in 8 dot english Braille and special characters :-)
And as there is no speak adapter for console I'm not sure if I am log in or
not.

Hi,
I was about to resend my post because I suspected you hadn't noticed it ;)
I run xbrlapi from gnome-terminal by typing "xbrlapi" without parameter. I
run orca just after that to have Braille and speech support in graphical
applications.
I'm using the EuroBraille (eu) driver.
I can't tell you more about the issue for the moment, I didn't have time to
investigate into xbrlapi source code.
But as I said, I'm quite sure that the problem is there since my migration
to Ubuntu 8.04. Maybe a change in the X libraries ?
P.S.: please, is it possible to choose another subject for the "brltty
startup messages" question which for the moment share the same subject as
the xbrlapi problem ?

Hello,
Just to let people know that I'm not forgetting this issue :)
I have to admit I'm quite surprised that this happens: xbrlapi just
translate the keysym into a keycode.
Olivier, how do you start xbrlapi? Which braille device are you using?
Samuel
