This means that you have no Unicode table within the kernel for what's on the 
screen. I believe that's normal for you since you use multi-byte character 
sets. What it means for brltty is that it's dependent on iconv support for the 
character sets you use.

Are you sure that the iconv data for each of these three character sets (big5, 
gb2312, utf8) is installed on your system? Perhaps you could attach the output 
from iconv -l.
