Please retest with the latest revision. I believe it resolves the question
marks problem with the Chinese contraction tables.
The problem was that contraction tables no longer fall back to text table
representations. The Chinese contraction tables were relying on this for the
representation of the ASCII characters. The nabcc contraction subtable has now
been added which implements those characters, and the zh-tw and zh-tw-ucb
contraction tables now include the nabcc subtable.
