[BRLTTY] switching between braille tables

Is it possible to switch between braille tables without having to enter the
preferences menu and cycle through the list of braille tables to select the
desired one?

A shell command should be able to select a different braille table, but,
unless something has changed without my being aware of it, this isn't
supported. For example, Brlapi can't be used to change tables or indeed other
BRLTTY preferences.
