[BRLTTY] Why are the Debian packages of Brltty compiled without SD support?

Hi,
the subject says it: When installing Brltty via the Debian repository,
there is no support for Speech-dispatcher.
So if one want to use SD-support, it is necessary to build Brltty from
the source; why?
I think Brltty should come with SD-support by standard, since a lot of
user use SD for several applications.
