The same would be true, of course, for "irreducible" and friends. What, 
however, about "irredenta"? For the curious, an "irredenta" is a territory 
which belongs, either historically or ethnically, to one coutnry but is 
governed by another.

Irredenta, by the way, also has related words. An "irredentist", for example, 
is one who believes that the governing country should mind its own business and 
leave the affairs of the territory up to those who either historicaly or 
ethnically own the territory.
