No, that's not an eSpeak problem.  Let's call this a flaw in the Espeak 
driver for BRLTTY that is being exposed by the recent "raise pitch" 
feature.  I might look at fixing it when I get back home next week.  
The fix would be too invasive for the 4.4 release at this point though.
