[BRLTTY] Stop speech with a script

Hello,

I've a question regarding the Espeak. If Brltty reads a longer block of text I can stop it by
pressing the ctrl key. This calls the "MUTE" function. Would it be possible to get the same
functionality from outside, for example with a shell or python script?
