I have to say I don't remember. libusb-win32 is supposed to be the
older, maintained-but-not-developped-any-more version, while libusb-1.0
is supposed to have better support. I don't know more, you would have to
see the libusb-win32/libusb-1.0 websites, I can't afford the time to do
it myself.

brlapi does not care, it is only about the support for the braille device itself.

Possibly (libusb-1.0 might support things needed for some devices). It
probably also depends on the driver for the device, some drivers might
not like one or the other.

So in the end I don't have any real answer, just refinement of the
question itself.
