[BRLTTY] trouble with udev

Hi all,

I'm trying to improve the brltty package in openSUSE, and I noticed that
there was a udev rules file that we aren't packaging. It looks as though
it is designed to automatically start brltty if a Braille display is
connected. Anyway, after installing it and connecting my Brailliant 40, I
see "brltty 5.2 rev unknown" written on the display, but brltty exits
shortly after starting. I see this in /var/log/warn:

2015-04-23T11:17:11.823204-05:00 linux-megc brltty[4490]: Ignored Byte: 00
2015-04-23T11:17:13.276368-05:00 linux-megc brltty[4490]: Short Packet: 50 02
2015-04-23T11:17:13.316485-05:00 linux-megc brltty[4490]: Unexpected Packet: 40 24

If I start brltty through systemd, then it works fine.

Does anyone know what might be going on, or how to go about debugging it,
or if there is any other information that I could provide that might help?

Thanks,
-Mike
