hi
I've got alsa-lib 1.1.2 and I don't have any problems with espeak. Then
again, I'm using espeak ng, the fork that reece dunn made and not espeak
itself. But either way, I can confirm that the espeak driver does start
and then stop speaking immediately, so something's definitely wrong
somewhere. I'm a co developer of the sonar linux distro for people with
all kinds of disabilities so I've been trying for a while to get brltty
working as a console screen reader.
            Thanks
Kendell Clark
