What aboyut using the systemd instance approach - @brltty.service and %i - for 
when the device is known (e.g. when it's USB). That way, multiple USB-connected 
braille devices would each get their own brltty.

You can construct a unique USB brltty device name like this:

   usb:vendorIdentifier=0x1234+productIdentifier=0x1234+serialNumber=12345678
