[BRLTTY] Using a Focus 14

I have a Focus 40 which needs to be sent in for cleaning. I also have a Focus 14 which was acquired for portable use 
with an iPad. When I connect the Focus 14 brltty recognizes it. However, it will only show the first 14 characters on 
a line. the right advance button does not show the next 14 characters. The left advance button shows the first 14 
characters on the previous line. I can bring up the help screen, but I can read only the first 14 characters on each 
line. Is there a way to get the right advance button to show successive 14-character blocks on the current line?
