[BRLTTY] eSpeak: say all punctuation doesn't work

Hi
I'm using BRLTTY 5.6 with eSpeak as output module. I have set the punctuation level
to all:
$ grep 'punct' /var/lib/brltty/brltty.prefs
speech-punctuation all
but for instance "|" and "<" are not announced, whereas "-" or even '"' is.
Using `espeak --punct'|<>' 'a|b| <= c'` works, too.
It used to work with 5.5 as expected.
Thanks!
Sebastian
