So something must still be wrong within brltty.conf since it seems to be still
trying USB. Could you please post (as an attachment) brltyt.conf?

The Dropbox link doesn't easily work for me since I use the lynx browser which
doesn't support JavaScript. Your (earlier) pastebin link did work. Also, you
could just send me the log. A large attachment posted to the list wouldn't be
good, but privately to me is fine.
