That would be nice. Applets for screen or tmux would be great, if somebody is
willing to write some C code. Personally I really hate things which echo to my
TTY and mess up the current foreground application's displayed content. Tmux
working together with D-bus would be an ultimate solution, possibly combined
with a working pulseaudio configuration.
