You can use Space+g (dots 1245) to toggle between computer (8-dot) and contracted (6-dot) braille. Adding Dot7 forces computer braille, and adding Dot8 forces contracted braille.

This is best done in brltty.conf by specifying the text table and/or the contraction table that you'd like to be using.

Space+p (dots 1234).

Help is Space+h (dots 125).
Learn is SpaceZ+l (dots 123).
Info (status) is Space+s (dots 234).
