[BRLTTY] ALVA controls quit working

If the display has a self-test mode for checking whether controls are 
working, I would suggest running it.

If there haven't been any relevant software updates recently, I suspect 
a hardware problem.

I suppose you could turn on input/output-level logging in BRLTTY to 
confirm that nothing is received when the controls causing the problems 
are pressed.

This one really gives the impression of being hardware, though.
