I don't think there is anything better than AT-SPI and I don't know it well
enough to say, if it is worth improviing or replacing. However, I believe
that AT-SPI will be the core of most desktop accessibility for quite some
time, and at least it is supported by many toolkits.

I don't want to go into debugging my setup here on the list. I wish for
generally useful discussion. Anyway, I'm very grateful for you offering your help.
