Thanks, both. We have a script called brltty-term (which has a -h option) which runs brltty within a virtual text console. It rlies on another script called brltty-pty. It's our hope that this approach can obsolete the old screen patch approach. If eitehr or both of you (or anyone else) could please give this a try, that'd be cool.
