It would probably be simpler for integration with the rest of the system
to just rebuild the debian package:

$ apt build-dep brltty
$ apt install libudev-dev
$ apt source brltty
$ cd brltty-6.7
$ dpkg-buildpackage -B
$ dpkg -iO ../*6.7*.deb

I have added it in my repo, I'll try to see later this month if that can
be included for Trixie, and as an update for Bookworm.
