I agree with you on NVDDA.  On Jaws though there is a structured mode where
they try to do intersting things with braille.  That doesn't mean they get
it all right.  You will notice Iddint' say it was good.  synthesis centered
screen reader where braille is treated more as a complement to the speech
synthesis than a first class citizen. To me, even the word "screen *reader*"
suggests what I'd call a bias towards speech sysnthesis.
