[BRLTTY] [Android] Remapping Braille keys?

Hi everyone,
I've bought an Android device (Pixel 9) and am trying to get it to work
with Braille, which has become my only way of accessibility. I was told
Android 15+ supported HID and that led me into a false sense of security
where my Braille display was concerned. Unfortunately, my Brilliant BI
20 isn't identified through Bluetooth (though it, strangely enough, sees
and can pair with the Pixel itself). TalkBack definitely doesn't see it
as available (or if so, just for a few seconds and connection will
fail). But connecting by USB works... unfortunately, I have to confirm I
really want to connect and this dialog isn't accessible (TalkBack
disconnects my other devices to ask me which, hu, isn't very helpful).
So I'm back at using HandyTech devices which is fine by me. My Actilino
is recognized and mostly works.
But... hold on... what are these strange mappings? I mean, I need to
press on two keys just to scroll to the window on the right. I've talked
about this issue on this list several times (it really makes for a poor
experience and I'm sure I'm not the only one to find it odd). Using a
Braille display and pressing two buttons just to scroll right is a good
way to find the system poor in terms of accessibility.
Back when I was on Linux, I asked the very same question and was told
the solution was remapping: through adding a file at the right place, I
could override the configuration and remap these strange keys to
something more practical.
But I'm not sure I have the same option for Android. Though it uses
BRLTTY (I believe), I'm not sure I have access to remapping. Probably
not. It certainly doesn't look like there's a convenient dialog box to
do that, and editing a file is probably not an option either. Could
someone clarify?
Thank you so much,
Vincent
