This is why we have to get a module cost not a per dot cost. These things
have to come down in price and this is me speaking not from my position
where I work. Have you ever heard a sighted person talk about a per actuator
cost in the Tesla? True these displays have more moving parts than a car
but most have modules that are 10 by 10 or maybe 10 by 40. That is the
units we should be thinking about. A dot is just a part of one larger unit.
Each unit are manufactured in one go some have 20 full cells in a unit some
are made by stacking parts. Some are created as a whole unit and have so
many dots per unit. The point I am trying to make is the complexity is how
we should look at these not the dot amount. Some of these smaller and bigger
displays I think are over priced even in the world we are living in.

Also, the price per dot of the Monarch seems comparable to (but slightly
cheaper than) Orbit Reader prices, since a 96 by 40 array is 3980 dots
total, making about $4.52 per dot, and for a 20 cell display with 8 dots per
cell (160 dots total), the price according to this rate would be $723.20.
