Dave recently pointed out the brltty-trtxt command for converting
among braille display codes. I have a unicode file I need to convert
to 8-dot brf. I attach here as "input".

I tried running brltty-trtxt -o brf input > output
and got the attached output

I think anything with dots 7 and 8 is being replaced by "replacement
character" which makes me suspect the conversion is using a 6-dot brf
file. I see there is an 8-dot brf display table at
text_nabcc.dis
First, am I diagnosing the problem correctly? If so, can I substitute
the 8-dot brf display table?
I tried:
brltty-trtxt -o /usr/share/liblouis/tables/text_nabcc.dis input >output
which didn't work with llots of errors, presumably I was handing it a
display table when it wanted a text table.
I could hack something together to do this but I suspect it's a job
brltty has already done better.
Pointers welcome.
thanks in advance
Peter
