Certainly, yes.

I agree. I'd even say it should not try to because, even if it would
succeed in oding so it would be a pity to re-do something BRLTTY already
does so well.

Are you aware that, through the per-applicaiton Orca preferences dialog
box you can configure Orca not to speak in terminals?

The drawback is that, at least for the time being, this has to be done
manually. But the advantage is, once it's done it's done, it's not
something you have do re-do each time Orca or the terminal is started.

I am using this configuration for a while now and, even if it's not
perfect, it feels like a step in the right direction. In a way, I see
this set-up as bringing me a bit closer to what may be considered as the
best of all possible words. In the sense that it lets one use the
graphical terminals that have more features than virtual consoles and
are also more pleasant to use when collaborating whith sighted people.
It lets you use those with BRLTTY's comfort we all love in terminals.
And, graphical terminals are more integratedwith other GUI applicaiotns
which will hopefully make some problems easier to solve, for instance I
expect it will be easier to reach a setup where you can click on a link
in a graphical terminal andhave that link opened in Firefox, rather than
trying to reach this from a virtual console.

To be transparent, the discussion stems from this PR:
