That'd require some memory digging. :-( As I recall, the issue is that if a user is copying bits from here and there with the end character being a blank then that blank is wanted else the bits wouldn't be concatenated together properly. There's no way of knowing which one is the last copy - only the paste knows that and, of course, that isn't even true because, after a paste, the user may append even more to the clipboard.
