Actually, things seem to be a bit more tricky than I had originally
thought. Just for completeness' sake, I ran:
$ ./configure --prefix=/usr/local
$ make
$ ./Tools/luacmd libdir
/usr/lib/lua/5.4
$ ./Tools/pythoncmd libdir
/usr/lib/python3.14
In this case, I would have expected to find the prefix /usr/local
reflected in the output of the libdir queries. Mind you, I do not know
whether it used to be like this before, hence whether this is a
regression report or just a feature request. :)
At least for distributors, the current behaviour should serve their
needs, I suppose.
