Thanks. It's now been merged into master.

JPM: This definitely warrants a 6.9.1 release. How quickly do you need it? A bit of a delay might be helpful just to ensure that there aren't any other hidden problems.

To all: This problem was a symptom of a bit of carelessness on my part but it was something I couldn't test for since I don't personally have every single braille device model. This is exactly why - shortly before each release - I plead on this list for people to test the latest development code. Without that user testing just before a release, these kinds of problems will inevitably alays sneak in. I'm far from perfect and benefit greatly from all of your help.
