Is there a plan to disclose exactly which keys/controls on the braille
device were pressed? I think this is what screen reader developers
really want to know, so the user doesn't have to know anything about
BRLTTY's console-level commands and how they're mapped to the physical
controls of the device. The screen reader should be able to handle the
mapping of physical controls to screen reader operations, but to do
that, BRLTTY would need to reveal information about the underlying
hardware controls.
I'm not making a request here. I'm just asking what the evolutionary
trajectory is or should be.
