[BRLTTY] KDE: Some text appears as blank spaces

Hi,

I'm not actually sure if this is a BRLTTY issue. I installed KDE on a 
RaspBerry Pi 5 using tasksel; the BRLTTY version is 6.7, Orca version 
48.1, at-spi2 version 2.56. it mostly works, except for a few 
inconsistencies. For example, if I type text in the search bar accessed 
via the META key, it appears as blank--I can see the cursor move to the 
right, but I don't actually see any characters. Same for the password 
field on login, though that might be intentional, and for konsole (in 
fact, all the terminal apps, be they xterm, uxterm or konsole, appear to 
be inaccessible to various extends).

I tried searching for that issue online--perhaps I missed setting some 
necessary environment variable?--but unfortunately I didn't find 
anything that matched my issues. Does anyone know what the problem might 
be?
