<p><span style="white-space: pre-wrap">Usual I using always your suggested testing commands in terminal.</span></p>
<p><span style="white-space: pre-wrap">If I forgot an option the ready timeout related, please tell me the right option and I of course repeat entire test.</span></p>

Yes, the patch I posted only applies to serial I/O.
