Yeah ! Very good job !!!
I was looking for a way to patch xbrlapi for this modifiers issue. 
And I have to say that I haven't had the idea to try all modifiers until
the characters matches. A very good approach :)

So thanks very much, now I can work using graphical tools with my braille
keyboard if I like.
