It has been a long time that I was actually actively in contact with
the grml development team, so I don't remember off-hand.  They used to
have a speakup enabled kernel as well for some releases, not sure
if that feature stayed.
I should probably talk to mika one day about conforming to
http://mielke.cc/brltty/guidelines.html, if they dont do it already.
