[BRLTTY] Is brltty accidentally holding the device longer?

What are the collective opinions on what the default for device releasing
should be? I thought it should be off since that'd be the least messing around
with the display, and, therefore, the least likely to generate an unexpected
problem.

You should be able to say "release-device yes".
