I missed this thread earlier, but just to add some clarification:

"Brailliant" is just the name used by Humanware for Baum's SuperVario
displays, of which Humanware (formerly PDI) is a distributor. So far as I
know, these are identical to the displays sold by Baum, except for the
rebranding. PDI may have contributed in some way toward the development of the
product, but I don't know for sure.

The university's display (purchased from Humanware) identifies itself over the
USB interface and in its configuration menu system as Brailliant, with PDI as
the vendor.
