thanks for such a quick reply and sorry for the mising information - 
that was a bit stupid of me ;:(

In these cases questionmarks - good guess - looks like you are 
familiar with my problem or I would rather say, incompetence.

I'm using Suse 9.2 and brltty 3.7.2

The box said to install Nt 4.0 or better - so I installed Solaris
