Sure. I like to see problems fixed.

With ten (of thirteen) children still at home, I don't have the luxury of 
spending money on things I won't use. :-) Hopefully that company would be 
willing to allow its software to be temporarily used for free by a developer in 
order to get it properly supported.

Is this perhaps a symptom of starting brltty after the X screen reader? Maybe 
it doesn't try to reconnect.
