[BRLTTY] speech problem

Hi,

I'm on debian lenny and have the following problem with brltty r3727.
I set auto speak to yes and I am using speech-dispatcher (sd).
When I type it either says symbol 0 or nothing.
Before it used to say the letters.
So how can I get it speaking the letters again?
