I've been thinking about a way to trap the byte stream on Windows. Not sure how to do this yet, but I think it is a good possible solution. Or, if I could find the TSI protocol somewhere, I could just poke around with the display until it does something.

Since it works for you on Windows, do you know how to trace USB I/O on that
platform? If not, perhaps soeone on this list can tell you how. Watching the
byte streams on Windows that work may yield a clue. It's possible that it's
emulation of the PB40 protocol isn't complete and that brltty is using some
aspect of the protocol which the Seika doesn't support.
