Thanks for the patch; I'll try it. We are trying to get the latest builds of brltty running on our PDA (Icon/Braille+). The Icon (or Braille+) run embedded Linux, and thanks to brlapi, support a number of braille displays. We were running fine with 3.10, but need to move forward so we can support more braille displays. So this patch wouldn't be used just for me.
