[BRLTTY] Problems making BRLTTY4.0

Hello. I am relatively new to the concept of make so perhaps need to do some background reading in to it. I have the following error when I try to make BRLTTY4.0
Error:
make: *** (all) Error 2

Until this point the make seems to be progressing fine. Can someone tell me what this error means and shed any light on how to fix it? I am running easy peasy ubuntu on an Acer Aspire 1 Netbook.
