i restored my Backup from Jul, 25th. - on another partition, so i can
observe both.
Brltty is full normal working without tweaking on this one.
Kernel:
Linux extern 2.6.32-3-686 #1 SMP Thu Feb 25 06:14:20 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
it is a normal standard version.
brltty version 4.2 (the normal from debian)

[ 11.756865] ftdi_sio 1-3.1:1.0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter

Next steps i did:
aptitude update, and saw that over 400 programms are ready to install
but *not* brltty!
I can send this too, but i don't want to write to much.
now:
Kernel:
Linux extern 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Sat Jul 24 02:27:10 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
--
i had hoped the differences would have been smaller..
please, ask if i can help further finding the problem out.
kind regards
Lutz
