Aha ok i missunderstand
I meen
You can't install a system from scratch like on xen
E.g
Mount a iso
And install the full system
The installer with xen are accessible
But the installer with qemu are not

What do you mean?

What Jason means is that you can pass the

-usbdevice braille

to add a virtual braille device in qemu, linked to brltty via brlapi.
The advantage is that distributions like debian will make sure to stay
in text mode.
