[BRLTTY] Incorrectly detecting number of cells of a braille sense display.

Dear List,

A NVDA user has a 18 cell display, which seems to behave rather oddly.
When the user scrolls back/forward (fwinlt fwinrt) words were 
being missed. When the nvda brltty driver is initialized it is informing us that the display has 32 cells, which would explain 
the missing words.

The user has connected it to an iphone and it is correctly recognized as a 18 cell display.

Any suggestions on how this can be debugged/rectified?

brltty version: 4.3.4
braille sense firmware 6.1
